Arguments heat up in GMO lawsuit A lawsuit challenging a Vermont law requiring labels for genetically modified foods will soon make its court debut, but already the suit's supporters and opponents are trying to win in the court of public opinion, according to Burlington (Vt.) Free Press. The Grocery Manufacturers Association and several other associations are suing the state to block implementation of the law, set to go into effect July 1, 2016. Oral arguments are scheduled to begin in January of next year.
